The museum will participate in the Y's national YMCA initiative, Healthy Kids' Day. It is the nation's largest day for kids and families designed to emphasize the importance of keeping kids healthy and active during the summer months. The museum's booth will feature the construction of kites that will allow running and playing in the out doors. At the same time they will be learning some of the basic principles of aerodynamics. April is also National Kite Month.
We need volunteers to work some part of the day to assist the kids in making and flying the kites. All materials and training is provided. No kite making experience is needed. Call 417-540-2657 or email us if you would like to help.
